These one of a kind creations are the result of Nature's ever-changing color palette and the ingenuity of retired chemistry professor, Claudia van Corva. There are seemingly endless colorful nuances in the trees, leaves and flowers and these can be forever celebrated through a fun alchemical art process known as 'botanical printing' or 'eco printing'. The process involves choosing the most interesting combinations of flora and extracted natural dyes with color fixatives called 'mordants'. Each piece is a surprise and the most wonderful collaboration between the human world and the plant world. The best part is that this is not a 100% controllable outcome- Nature is chaotic and takes its own course!
